Hello there O'Brien Family, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story with us. I also want to thank you for the reality check. You know there are so many times in life that we take things for granted. I have really been doing a lot of reflecting on my life as well as my family's and am trying to be a better person and reach out to people more. I am praying for you everyday and hoping that you know how much you are all loved. Keep smiling! With love and peace, Lisa Caputo
Hi Catie How is our girl today? We just moved into our new home this weekend, and the kids are already talking about having Catie and crew down for a visit. You are a remarkable kid Catie and we love you dearly. God Bless, Aunt Marissa
Hi Catie, I learned about your story thru your Uncle Bill. I have sent your story onto friends, family and people I work with. We are all praying for you, your parents and your sisters and brother. Keep your spirits high and the next time you see Uncle Bill ask him to bring his 'band in a box'...it's a funny story from our trip to the music festival earlier this year called Bonnaroo. Be well Sweetheart! Tammy
Catie: You probably do not remember us, but your mom and dad are good friends. In fact, we spent an entire weekend with you when you were just a few months old. You were with your mom and dad as the four of us gave what we call an Engaged Encounter weekend where we try to get couples who are engaged to marry to realize how important their marriages are to God and to all of us in the Church. We knew even then what a special kid you are. We have lit our first candle for you and your family. Steve is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Rosemary is a graduate of St. Mary's College next to Notre Dame. We were married at the basilica (a fancy church) on the Notre Dame campus. Anyway, they have a special place behind the basilica called the Grotto. It is an exact replica of the Grotto at Lourdes in France (ask your mom to tell you about Lourdes and what happened there). It is a beautiful place, just a few yards from St. Mary's lake where there are always ducks and very tame red squirrels around. It is a peaceful place, a wonderful place to pray to God or just do some thinking. In fact, it is where Steve asked Rosemary to marry him (in the midst of a blizzard! ...but that's another story!). Anyway, the Grotto has many candles, including a special green one which is reserved for the intentions of people who went to Notre Dame. We have asked that the candle be lit for you - here is the response I received from Notre Dame: Steve, thank you for your special prayer request for Katie and her family. Please be assured of our prayer support. We pray that our Lord will intervene with His healing touch on this precious child. "God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble." We pray for a miraculous healing for Katie. Our prayer is that Christ will enfold her and her family in His love, and give them comfort and strength as they go through this difficult time. Thank you for caring the prayer team ------- So, Catie, that is our first candle for you. Notre Dame is a very special place for anyone who has been there (you will have to visit it someday!). We know that God will hear these prayers, and in a special way, we know that Jesus' mother Mary will hear these prayers delivered through the candle at her Grotto. Love, Steve and Rosemary Kern
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always. When you feel down read the poem "Footprints in the Sand" then you can see that you are never alone during this hard time in your life. :)
Katie we are all praying for you. Bonnie Ed Lauren and Fred.
Hi Catie! I thought I would share one of my favorite silly poems with you today. I hope that your day is filled with lots of smiles and sunshine! love, sylvia xoxo Toes in My Nose by Bruce Lansky I bet that I could do it. My friends all said, "No way." And now my toes are in my nose, so they will have to pay. They each owe me a dollar-- of that there is no doubt. There's just one little problem. I cannot get them out.
Hey there Catie - Just wanted to say thanks so much for letting your big sister and i visit over the weekend. We had so much fun and you look marvelous!!!! Dear Catie, Cristine, Kevin, Maggie, Max, Mia, Molly and M.E. I met your Mom and Dad a long time ago when I worked at Ridge Pharmacy with your Daddy. Your Mom and Dad are very special people and you are a beautiful family. Your faith is an inspiration to us all. I have a little boy who is only a month older than Catie and a little girl who is Maggie's age. I will pray each day with my family that your family will all be together again soon, and that Catie will be healthy and safe. What a beautiful smile you have, Catie. We are lighting a candle for you at St. Joseph's Shrine in Stirling, NJ. Each day we will pray for your health and family. Stay strong - you are loved. Love and prayers, The Aul Family - Ken, Wendy, Ryan, Courtney and Sean

Hello Catie, You don't remember this but when you were about one year old, you came to visit me when my daughter Julia was born. You were so adorable crawling all over the livingroom floor while Maggie and Max watched over you. Julia is now 6 years old and she is starting first grade in a few weeks. She also has a 4 year old sister Ania and they would both love to meet you and play with you. They have seen the pictures your mom sends each Christmas and they always say how lucky you are to have such a wonderful family to love and to cherish. How much fun it must be to have all of these *** siblings. We have just learned about your illness yesterday. We promise to pray every day and ask God to bring you back home to your family. Be strong little Catie. Love, Agnes, Ted, Julia and Ania

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers while you go through this difficult time. Hi, O'Briens! Agnes passed this website along to me, and I am so touched by this wonderful, strong, *** little girl of yours. Her strength and faith truly is a reflection on the strength and faith of your family. My older daughter, Noelle (6), has already asked to add Catie to our bedtime prayers - even she thinks Catie is an *** kid! Our love and prayers are with all of you! Marta, Teddy, Noelle, and Katarina Loya
Thank you for sharing your story with us here in Memphis. Today, I am taking your cute photo and your story with me to Farmington Elementary school where I work in the office. Hi Catie and Family! Carrie has been keeping me up to date on everything. Carrie just sent me the web site so I can stop bugging her! Last year we went to the basket bingo with your mom. That was the first time I got to spent time with her besides the few time we said hi over the fence while we were at Carrie's house. Your mom is such a wonderful person. We had such a great time playing basket bingo that we went this year and now I'm am on their contact list so I won't miss it in the following years! :p I keep you and your family in my prayers. Many Hugs from the Donovan Family! Antoinette, Mike, Ben and Jessie
Dear Catie, I am the lady who met you in Church this week in Memphis. We lit candles together with your mom. I have already told my four daughters all about you, and intend to tell the rest of my really big family about you as well. I am the youngest of twelve kids, so I think we can get some more prayers and candles coming your way. I hope to get a work trip to Hawaii soon, and there is a really pretty church there, waiting for a candle to be lit for you. I'll let you know when I do. I hope you have fun with your brother this weekend, and get home to the rest of your sisters very soon! I think you and your mom are ***. Let your mom know that you all are in our prayers, and that I have faith in your healing too. Have a great day Catie! Miss Anne :)

Hi Catie, I am a long-time friend of your Uncle Bill. I had the pleasure of meeting you when you were just a little baby. I can't believe how you've grown. If I can make it out to New Jersey in late September, I hope to see you and your family at St. James. My thoughts are with you every day as you go through your treatment. Be happy and healthy. You have a great and loving family at your side. ~Mike Fiore (A.K.A. Uncle Gus Pacho)
Catie, I'm a grandmother who lives in Mayfield, NY in the summer and Lake Placid, FL in the winter. I live in two places so I can spend time with my grandchildren. Three of my granddaughters, Olivia, Mykaela and Mckenzie are your age. They love their Webkins. I saw the picture of you with your American Doll. Do you like Webkins too? I just wanted you to know that I have lots of people praying for you to get well. You are precious in God's sight and He loves you.
