Hi Catie! You may not remember me because I only met you once, but we happened to be wearing the same red and white polka dots the day you came to Lucy's First Holy Communion. I work with your Aunt Colleen at Holy Cross. You're in my prayers, my family's prayers, and all those at my brother's air force base. Your pictures are quite lovely. We are all praying for you to have a healthy and productive trip to Memphis. May angels watch over you 0:-)

It was so good to see you and your mom this afternoon. Knowing you'd rather not have to come to Memphis under these circumstances, yet I felt joy in seeing you and your mother again. I was glad when you smiled at Kaitlyn who was with us! Thank you and your mom for the generous gift certificate to Chili's restaurant which we are just now about to go and enjoy. God's Blessings!

Hi Catie, Today was a big day for you going back to Saint Jude's. We pray that you had a safe arrival and that there wasn't much pain incurred. Gracie was so happy she was able to see you, she has been wanting to do this for some time. It was so good to see two "Best Friends Reunited". Gracie and Gabrielle pray for you every night and ask that God and their Pop Pop to watch over you and help you to get well. You are such an inspiration to me and my family. Keep on fighting Catie with that winning smile and ever joyous sparkle in your eyes. You can beat this! Love, Gracie, Gabrielle, Amy, and John McKee 8) 8)

Hey Catie, I will miss your smiling face in the hallway. We went to Chilis tonight! We had a great time. Our waitress Nicole knew Tim from his High School. Everyone was so friendly. Did you know that the waitresses and waiters gave their tips to St. Jude's hospital? The world is full of wonderful people! We left a big tip!!! Love ya, Mrs. Zabroske

Dear Miss Catie! Hope your trip to Memphis was smooth! Everyone misses you in Mechanicsburg! My mom especially! She thinks you are wonderful = therefore I do too! You may find it strange that your music teachers' daughter thinks about you often - well here is a CRAZY fact about me that will help you know a little bit about how I know you are special: I danced for 48 hours straight with no sitting down or sleeping two different years to raise money for pediatric cancer while I was at Penn State. I remember how tired I was, how much my body ached, and how much I didn't want to go to class the next day. Everyone was telling me how brave I was - but I knew that I wasn't nearly as brave as anyone who faced cancer. YOU, Miss Catie, are my hero! So, I will continue to pray for you and try to be a better person each day- because you are so brave and wonderful! Keep smiling! :-) Love - Catherine (mrs. hodges' daughter!)

Know that the entire Central Catholic community is grateful for the good news and the 1000 of us continue to keep you all in our prayers. Kids come up to me in the hallway all the time and say, "Miss Closkey, how's Catie?" They all feel like they know you and they want you to come visit when you're home safe, sound, and have a clean bill of health.

Happy Thursday Catie!!! Was sooo excited to read the good reports. Butterflies and HOPE! : ) I have to give a shout out to your music teacher's daughter Catherine - YEAH THON!!! Our daughter Meghan was very much involved in THON when she was a student at PSU - we would host the canners and really miss that, but we all still attend THON every year. Thank you for dancing FTK! It's a small world out there Catie....love when I read a "connection". Victor and I will be going to Boston next weekend to visit Michele - it is the first "canning" weekend of THON, so we're going to wear our THON shirts and hopefully meet up with other Penn Staters. I hope it's a beautiful day in TN - the wind is blowing here, but the sun is shining! I better go pack - tomorrow I'm driving to Maryland to pick up our 14 yr old cousin Sara and then we're continuing down to DC to visit Meghan. Have a wonderful evening! Sending lots of love, hugs and prayers. Catherine is correct - YOU ARE OUR HERO! love, sylvia xoxo

Hi Catie! I read all of your mommy and daddy's e-mails. They are so meaningful to me! I am Michael and Kim Lane's sister in law. Do you know them? My husband David is Michael's brother. We are coming to Mechanicsburg tomorrow! David's sister Julie is getting married on Saturday. My children will be in the wedding. Kiara, 7, will be a "junior brides maid", but wearing the same dress as the flower girls. She will be making her First Reconciliation and First Communion this school year just like you! Christianne will turn 5 years old tomorrow and is excited to have her birthday on an airplane! She will be a flower girl. Andrew is 2 1/2 and he will be the ring bearer. I know I wouldn't get to meet you when we are in Mechanicsburg, but maybe we'll see your family at church on Sunday. It just depends what Mass we go to. Say hi to your mommy and daddy for me. Maybe they'll read this letter, too? My children and their friend lit two candles for you about a month ago and prayed for you! I have three of your parents' letters in my purse to take rand ead on the airplane tomorrow! I hope you are feeling well. You are such a sweetheart and God loves you and your family very much. Time to put Andrew down for his nap. Have a happy day! Sincerely, Jennie Lane p.s. Please pray that we have a safe and happy trip, with plenty of joy filled family time. We really need some happy family time.

Catie and Christine- Yesterday our Diocese had a pilgrimage to the National Shrine in DC. We took 4 buses of our students. When we arrived I said to one of the other chaperones, my friend Tom, which of the side altars should we light a candle for Catie at. There are about 50 smaller side altars and shrines, all dedicated to Mary at the Basilica. Every title we have for Mary has a side altar. So we looked, Our Lady of Czeschtowa, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady Help of Christians, Our Lady of Guadalupe, the list goes on...then we get to THE ONE, the Shrine to the Miraculous Medal. That's where we lit the candle. It was probably around 12noon or so. The day was great! Our students were fantastic and Matthew Kelly is praying for you! Know that I love and miss you both! In the joy of the Lord, Aunt "book" case
